Events Description
The Great Pumpkin Trail returns to RBG!
Follow the candlelit glow of hundreds of jack-o-lanterns deep within the recesses of the Hendrie Valley. Savour the flavours of the season with a selection of sweet and savoury delights while enjoying live entertainment and pumpkin themed activities. Thousands of REAL pumpkins will be arranged in artistic displays and installations throughout Hendrie Park!
Please Note:
Only a ¼ km section of the trail, a loop within the garden, is fully wheelchair accessible and stroller-friendly, starting and ending at the same point. The rest of the 1 km trail features uneven ground, rough terrain, and hilly areas. Strollers and wagons are not recommended on the trail. The trail is dark, lit only by jack-o-lanterns. For your safety we recommend bringing a flashlight and wearing sturdy footwear.
Event Format and Timed-ticketing
Guests can roam throughout Hendrie Park at their leisure while interacting with roaming entertainers, participating in pumpkin themed activities and enjoying the autumn air by the campfires. The Hendrie Park Valley trail portion will be a one-way route with volunteers posted to help direct guests along the way.
Strollers and wagons are not recommended on the trail. Since the trail ends in a different part of the garden, any strollers or wagons will need to be picked up from the starting area.

Venue: Hendrie Park, 680 Plains Rd W, Burlington
Parking is included with admission, but everyone must check in through RBG Centre at 680 Plains Road W., Burlington, even if you park elsewhere. The main RBG Centre lot is the most convenient option, although it may fill during busy entry periods.
If that happens, several overflow options are available:
- Rock Garden, 1185 York Blvd., Hamilton: Free parking is available here, with a complimentary shuttle running continuously throughout the evening between the Rock Garden lot and RBG Centre.
- Cherry Hill trailhead parking lot: You can park here and cross Plains Road West to reach the RBG Centre entrance. You cannot enter through the Rose Garden service gate, so you will still need to walk to the main check-in area.
- Botanical Drive and Spring Gardens Road: Street parking is another option. From there, walk across the parking area toward the RBG Centre main entrance.
- Staff Parking Lot / Classroom 5: This lot is on the south side of Plains Road West at Botanical Drive. From there, make your way to RBG Centre for check-in.
Because admission is tied to a specific time slot, allowing extra time for parking and the walk to the entrance may make arrival easier, especially on busier nights.
