Events Description
The entire experience is outside enjoying nature, with acres of space to run and play.
Visiting the farm during the summer, you can see all the animals. We have Sheep, Cows, Rabbits, Goats, Horses, a Donkey, Alpacas, Pigs, Chickens, Ducks and Geese. Our friendly barn cats are usually a favourite among the guests. At the moment they have some little kittens up in the hay loft that will start coming out soon. The spring babies have grown just enough by now that they are jumping around and even starting to eat from your hands. Our little calves are pretty funny to watch, if you catch them at the right time, they like to put on a little show, running and kicking. Make sure to step back in time by visiting the pioneer farm house, its a little piece of preserved history, taking you back to a simpler time.
The Log farm is a special part of Ottawa’s history, the farm was originally settled by the Bradleys’ in 1854. The family of 11 cleared the land selling the timber in Bytown (formerly Ottawa) as part of the 1800s’ timer boom. Step back in time as you walk through the original home of the Bradley’s and take in how they lived right here over 150 years ago.
