Events Description

Ring in 2026 with a night to remember! Join us for Downtown Markham’s New Year’s Eve Celebration, filled with electrifying music, unforgettable vibes, and breathtaking fireworks display as we bid farewell to 2025 in style!

Kicking off the evening, DJ DevoDLive will take the stage from 10:30 PM to 11:45 PM, delivering an energetic mix of the year’s biggest hits alongside crowd-pleasing classics to set the tone for the night.

Toronto-born Devante Burey, professionally known as DevoDLive, is a DJ, entertainment host, social media influencer, and performance artist with deep roots in Canada’s entertainment scene. His passion for live audiences began at a young age through frequent appearances at the iconic MUCH Music studios, shaping the high-energy style he brings to every performance.

As midnight approaches, John Webster, the Official Town Crier for the City of Markham, will lead the evening’s ceremonial moments. From 11:45 PM to 11:59 PM, John will lead the official countdown to the New Year.

A third-generation Markham resident, John Webster has served as Town Crier since 1987 and is a familiar and celebrated presence across the city. Performing at more than 200 events annually, he plays an integral role in preserving and sharing Markham’s civic and cultural traditions.

Illuminate the Night is more than a countdown – it’s a moment to reflect, celebrate and step forward as a community. Whether you’re dancing to the music, enjoying the atmosphere, or counting down the final seconds of the year, Downtown Markham is the place TO BE this New Year’s Eve.

We look forward to welcoming 2026 with you — brightly, boldly and together.
