Events Description
This year’s parade theme is Holiday Movie and Icons. For the 33rd year, the Oakville Kinsmen will be collecting your non-perishable food donations for Oakville community food banks. Collection will happen at the beginning of the parade and just before Santa’s sleigh.
This year, as well as non-perishable food and cash donations, we will be accepting debit and credit card donations (by Tap).
The Oakville Santa Claus Parade has been delighting audiences for over 70 years. Each year provides members of the Oakville community with the opportunity to come together and participate in the parade or watch the parade, bringing joy to young and young at heart.
The first parade was organized in 1948 by Bill Hughes, then President of the Junior Chamber of Commerce. The idea originated to encourage business in Downtown Oakville.
