Join Don’t Mess with the Don as we kickoff the city wide celebrations with our special brand of fun, fall outdoor activities.

Late September through October is the annual salmon migration in the rivers along the north shore of Lake Ontario.

To commemorate the arrival of the fish back to the Don, our days theme is Salmon and Water.

-arts and crafts with a”salmon walk” for kids;

-a Lost Rivers led walk to view the salmon migration and the beautiful fall colours of Crothers Woods

-a free salmon bbq;

-Toronto Nature Stewards will be on hand to advise how to become a steward in your community or become a ‘Lead Steward’ yourself;

-Gateway BikeHub will offer free basic bike repair and advice;

-EY Girl Guides will be on hand to share the importance of caring for our natural heritage;

– refreshments provided by local craft company Rally Beer

-all activities are free so come celebrate with us.

DMWTD’s valley home is a revitalized former shipping Container located next to the Crothers Woods trailhead in the s/e corner of Loblaws Redway parking lot (11 Redway Road off of Millwood).

With transit nearby you can also walk or bike the many Don Valley trails right to our door.

Plenty of free parking for those that come by car
