Events Description
Indigo dyeing is a sustainable art practice passed down for generations in Hakka villages. Taichung’s Watersource Cultural and Educational Foundation presents hands-on indigo dye workshops right here in Vancouver! Learn about local agriculture and harvesting plant dye materials, and get to work creating your own one-of-a-kind dye art. Discover the history of indigo dye in Taiwan’s Toubiankeng area and how the art form has evolved into a community craft. If you like arts, crafts, and culture, you don’t want to miss out!
