Events Description

Please join us for the Truth and Reconciliation Day event in Maple Ridge.

This year’s event, themed “Walking Together: A Journey of Unity and Healing,” is a collaborative effort by many local organizations committed to honouring the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and sharing its vital message with Maple Ridge and surrounding communities.
Hosted by Katzie First Nation and PLEA Community Services, this free, family-friendly event is made possible with the generous support of sponsors including Canadian Heritage, Indigenous Reconciliation Fund, Westcoast Family Centres, Coast Mental Health, Miss 604, Alouette Addictions, the City of Maple Ridge, and the City of Pitt Meadows.
What to Expect:
– Opening march
– Indigenous guest speakers
– Cultural performances by local Indigenous dancers, drummers, and artists
– Orange shirt painting
– Over 50 Indigenous and local vendors and artisans
– Community Art Project and more!
We are also honoured to welcome back motivational speaker and hip hop artist K.A.S.P. for a special performance and speech.
Bring your friends, bring your family, and be part of this meaningful day of unity, healing, and hope.
