Events Description

What’s the difference between an asteroid and a comet? Join us for a comet-making demonstration and find out more about these cosmic travelers and current missions studying them.

During your 60-minute visit you will have 30 minutes to explore the exhibits in our Cosmic Courtyard Gallery. The other 30 minutes will be spent in our Observatory with a tour of our ½ metre Cassegrain telescope and a 15-minute cooking up a comet demonstration.

Who is it for?

This program is recommended for families with children ages 8+. Children must be accompanied by adults. One ticket must be purchased for each member of your group. Groups can have a maximum of 4 people. We recommend that you dress warmly as the Observatory can be cold.
