Experience the animal kingdom like never before. The Robot Zoo, presented by White Spot Restaurants, explores the extraordinary engineering and biomechanics behind some of nature’s most fascinating creatures through larger-than-life animatronics.
Each of the eight robotic animal has been carefully engineered to mimic real animal behaviour such as a platypus swimming the breaststroke, a squid hunting a struggling fish, or a grasshopper jumping with explosive power. Using repurposed household and industrial materials, visitors of all ages can see complex biomechanics in action: muscles become pistons, intestines become filtering pipes, while brains become computers.
By transforming biological systems into familiar mechanical components, The Robot Zoo demonstrates the remarkable engineering found throughout the natural world.
Engage Your Inner Animal:
Swat the Fly – Put your reaction time to the test. Will you react faster than a fly?
Tongue Gun – Control an arcade-inspired chameleon head and test your speed and precision as you try to hit buzzy prey with its tongue.
Sticky Feet – Discover how flies have a Spider-Man-like ability to walk on walls.
Jet Propelled – Race against three friends in a carnival-style pumping game and discover how giant squids propel themselves through the water.
