Events Description
The FRDC is delighted to offer extra programming during long weekends with Summer Discovery Days! There’s so much to see and discover on these long summer days, and we hope you’ll join us!
The Fraser River is full of colour—from the silvery scales of salmon and the changing hues of river water to the vibrant plants and wildlife that depend on this ecosystem. Join us to explore how colour tells stories about health, survival, and change in nature. Create your own fish print inspired by local species, investigate how turbidity is related to water quality and how aquatic life is affected, contribute to a collaborative salmon artwork, and uncover surprising myths and facts about colours found in the natural world.
WHAT:
• Create your very own fish print to take home
• Do a water test to investigate turbidity and water quality
• Contribute to a collaborative salmon community artwork
• Discover myths and surprising facts about colours in nature
