Events Description
“Excellent…Langlois de Swarte, his tone clear but with an appealing hint of wiry bite, played with vivacity and wit….A performance to be celebrated.” -The New York Times
Star violinist Théotime Langlois de Swarte and his fellow co-founder of Le Consort, harpsichordist Justin Taylor, present an imagined musical meeting of two great pillars of Baroque music, J.S. Bach and Antonio Vivaldi.
The captivating violin/harpsichord duo draws full houses worldwide with their distinctive reinterpretations of both canonical and lesser- known early music gems. This recital highlights the virtuosity and expressiveness of Vivaldi’s writing for violin and the melodic power of Bach’s harpsichord music.
