Boo at the Zoo is a Halloween tradition for the whole family! This spooky season, visit the Zoo for a fun, safe, and family-friendly alternative to traditional haunted attractions! Enjoy spectacular themed entertainment, interactive activities, festive photo-ops, fair rides, and Halloween fun. With plenty of spooky sights but no scary frights, it’s the perfect way for families, kids, and those young at heart to celebrate Halloween!

The Zoo has been transformed into the mysterious town of Spookyville! Journey through unseen lands and explore brand new haunts. Wander through Lantern’s Gate, Boo Manor, Monster Way, and more as you uncover silly spooks, Halloween surprises, and plenty of photo-worthy moments.

Spooktacular Entertainment! Let out a shriek on rides at the Haunted Fair, show off your moves at the Monster Disco, challenge your family to Pumpkin Putt-Putt, get creative at a craft station, and watch jaw-dropping performances pop-up throughout your visit. With festive activities, photo opportunities, and spooky surprises along the way, there’s something for every ghost and goblin to enjoy.

Boo at the Zoo is a family-friendly event. The Zoo will be transformed into a spooky (but not too scary) Halloween extravaganza. While some displays may be frightening or surprising for younger children, there are no jump scares at Boo at the Zoo.

Halloween Day at Boo at the Zoo
Spend Halloween at the Zoo! For the first time ever, Boo at the Zoo will welcome guests during the day on October 31, with spooky fun running from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Enjoy trick-or-treat stations, Halloween-themed entertainment, festive activities, and plenty of treats along the way. More surprises are still brewing in Spookyville, so stay tuned for announcements to come!

The Haunted Fair is located at the end of the loop through the Zoo.

There’s a ride for a variety of ages and preferences – from the thrill-seekers to our littlest ghoulish guests. Rides include a Ferris wheel, carousel, and plenty of kid-friendly thrills!

Rides are included with your ticket to Boo at the Zoo.

Spooky Sketches: Capture your spirit with our Caricature Artist, located just outside Tundra Grill. Our talented artist will transform your costumes and expressions into whimsical drawings. Each drawing accommodates up to two people. Limited availability per night. Additional costs apply

Monster Makeovers Facepainting: Our expert artists will begin your transformation into a spooky or sweet character of your choosing! Limited availability per night. Additional costs apply

Food & Beverage
From tasty treats and hearty meals to hot drinks for chilly nights and cool sips for monsters on the move, Boo at the Zoo has food and fun for every taste!

Enjoy full-service meals at the Tundra Grill, plus snacks, treats, grab-and-go items, and more spread along the event route. Hot and cold non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks are available throughout Boo at the Zoo.

Sensory Information
Given the spooky themes of the event, some pathways may use dim or dark lighting. Darker areas include the Hallows trail and the spaces around our fire dancers.

There are no strobe lights at Boo at the Zoo. Rides in the fair area may utilize flashing lights.

The new Hallows trail offers a spookier atmosphere with heightened sensory experiences that may not be suitable for all visitors.

We are pleased to partner with KultureCity to offer sensory bags on a first come, first served basis, free of charge. Please visit the Visitor Service area at the Zoo Main Entrance to inquire about KultureCity bags.

Tickets for Boo at the Zoo are date and time-specific. You must enter during the 30-minute time on your ticket. You can stay as long as you like (up until closing time).

Please purchase tickets in advance online or in person at the Zoo entrance during daytime hours. Walk-up tickets are subject to availability.
