Winnipeg’s annual week-long literary festival with readings, school shows, and book signings for readers of all ages! THIN AIR features new and established writers, and is enjoyed by thousands of Manitobans of all backgrounds in both English and French.

Thin air Mainstage Pass $35,

General price for individual Mainstage Event – General $12, Students/Senior $10

Opening Night $10

$10 – The New Fantasmagoriana at the Dalnavert Museum, A Pint of Bitter Murder and The Poisoned Chalice at the The Good Will Social Club. Tickets for all these events are available at the door. Rush seating only.

$30 each or both for $50 – The Writing Craft, our professional development seminars at the Millennium Library, is $30 per person (or $50 for both seminars) and will appeal to people who are serious about their writing. Admission includes coffee and tea. Please feel free to come and register at the door. Registration and Check-in (for pre-registered) starts at 9:15am on both days.

Admission for the Boot Camp for Writers events must be purchased through McNally Robinson.

FREE! – A host of THIN AIR programming costs you nothing. Readings, book chats, lectures, panel discussions, performances, our open mic party: check the program for particulars. Bring your friends—it’s a no-risk situation! (Donations are welcome, of course.)
