Winnipeg’s annual week-long literary festival with readings, school shows, and book signings for readers of all ages! THIN AIR features new and established writers, and is enjoyed by thousands of Manitobans of all backgrounds in both English and French.

THIN AIR / Livres en fête 2023 kicks off in exactly two weeks. Once again, we’re hosting a true hybrid festival, with a bunch of in-person events (many of them live-streamed), a handful of online events, and a fancy website chock full of delightful videos submitted by this year’s featured writers. Our special festival website, thinairfestival.ca, goes live on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.

Be there on September 20, 2023 to celebrate the launch of the festival! The month-long literary celebration features a hybrid hub of creative content in English and French and a range of events held in person and online. We are proud to share some new works by writers from across the country and even further afield. You’ll discover new favorites to add to your reading list!
