Banff 
The Canadian Pacific (CP) Holiday Train is back for its 24th year!
Two trains, beginning in Montreal in November, about 1,000 feet in length with rail cars decorated with hundreds of thousands of LED lights and a modified boxcar that has been turned into a travelling stage for performers will make their way across the Canadian Pacific network in the US and Canada to raise money, food and awareness for local food banks.
In Alberta, the Canadian Train will be visiting communities from Medicine Hat to Edmonton and Banff before travelling west to end the journey at Port Coquitlam.
Live music highlights the CP Holiday Train experience and performing free concerts in support of food banks until Calgary are performers Tenille Townes and Aysanabee, while first-time Holiday Train artists McKenzie Porter and Virginia to Vegas will finish out the tour departing out of Calgary.
Each event is free, with CP encouraging attendees to open their cupboards and wallets to help address hunger needs in their communities. Local food banks will be accepting donations at each stop to ensure those less fortunate have enough healthy food this holiday season.
Since the Holiday Train program launched in 1999, it’s raised more than $21 million and collected 5 million pounds of food for community food banks across North America.

I hope that in 2023, the holiday train, will go from Calgary and stay on southwest tracks threw, Okotoks to Vulcan and also to Champion and now where I live in.
In 2003 I helped Tom Price, with parking at Banff train station and in 2004, I was your Santa and I was wearing my own suit and I was pick up at the Bannf Mac Donalds, gave out over 400 candy cans and got a ride back to wear Iived by cp police.
In 2008 from Cochrane to Banff and stop in Canmore, I think we ran out of fuel for the stage and I had rubber gloves in my bag and gave them to the band
