The Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) Holiday Train is back for its 27th year!

Two trains, each about 1,000 feet long with rail cars covered in hundreds of thousands of LED lights and a modified boxcar converted into a travelling performance stage, made their way across the Canadian Pacific Kansas City network in the U.S. and Canada beginning in November to raise money, food and awareness for local food banks.
In Alberta, the Canadian train will visit communities from Provost and Hardisty to Fort MacLeod, Pincher Creek, and Coleman via Calgary before travelling west to end its journey in Port Coquitlam.
The U.S. Train’s last leg takes it through Medicine Hat, Tilley, and Brooks, with Gleichen marking the end of its festive route.
Live concert highlights the CPKC Holiday Train experience, and performing free concerts supporting food banks are Barenaked Ladies, Jade Eagleson, Teigen Gayse, Lanco, and Tiera Kennedy.
Each event is free, and CPKC encourages attendees to open their cupboards and wallets to help address hunger in their communities. Local food banks will be accepting donations at each stop to ensure those less fortunate have enough healthy food this holiday season.
The CPKC Holiday Train program launched in 1999 and has since raised more than $26 million and over 5.4 million pounds of food for community food banks across North America.

In 2003 I helped Tom Price, with parking at Banff train station and in 2004, I was your Santa and I was wearing my own suit and I was pick up at the Bannf Mac Donalds, gave out over 400 candy cans and got a ride back to wear Iived by cp police.
In 2008 from Cochrane to Banff and stop in Canmore, I think we ran out of fuel for the stage and I had rubber gloves in my bag and gave them to the band
