Drumheller to Attempt Guinness World Record For Largest Dinosaur Inflatable Gathering This April

The Dinosaur Capital of the World will be attempting to shatter the Guinness World Record for the most people dressed in inflatable dinosaur costumes.

The town of Drumheller, renowned for its rich paleontological history showcased through the vast collection of dinosaur fossils at the Royal Tyrrell Museum, and the iconic giant model T-Rex offering panoramic views from its jaws aims to add a modern twist to its dinosaur legacy and is rallying participants to join in a record-breaking attempt on April 27, 2024.

 

The event, Jurassic Jamboree – World Record Challenge, organized by Travel Drumheller, is calling for everyone, whether to don their most impressive T-Rex attire or to cheer on the participants.

So mark your calendar, buy a costume, and head to Drumheller for a memorable experience and also have a chance to be part of history if it surpasses the current record of 252 participants, set in Los Angeles in 2019.

Jurassic Jamboree – World Record Challenge!

What: Set to break the Guinness World Record for the “largest gathering of people dressed as dinosaurs,” the Jurassic Jamboree in Downtown Drumheller on April 27, 2024, promises a weekend filled with prehistoric fun.

The event will feature a Plaza Pre-Party with live music, the main event with an official world record count, street games, live performances, food trucks, and educational activities.

Attendees are encouraged to wear full-body dinosaur costumes to participate in this historic attempt, highlighting Drumheller’s rich paleontological heritage and community spirit.

Pre Party: Friday, April 26 | 6:30pm – 8:30pm

Main Event: Saturday, April 27 | 10:00am – 2pm

      Your dinosaur record is incorrect. It was beat last year in Dundurn, SK and not Los Angeles.
