All in support of Dogs with Wings Assistance Dog Society fostering independence and integration for people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support.

4. The Mosquers

The Mosquers Film Festival is North America’s Premier Muslim Festival that started right here in Edmonton in 2006 in response to negativity portrayed about Muslims and Islam in the media. The Mosquers attracts talent from across Canada and the United States. Join us for our Annual Screening and Awards Night in Edmonton. The event is comprised of a red carpet ceremony, the screening of the finalist short-films, a feature entertainment component, and the much anticipated final award presentation by our expert panel of judges!

In this fleetly paced road trip of a play, a lawyer at loose ends with his own life sets out on a surprise transcontinental quest for consumer justice, accompanied by the unruffled assistant manager of a local multiplex cinema. Andrew MacDonald-Smith is the nobly disenfranchised Nick and Mathew Hulshof the affably stalwart Sam. Original cast members Cheryl Jameson and Davina Stewart return to play a veritable whirlwind of women who aid, abet, and occasionally impede the fellas on their quest for enlightenment.

Both Skateboarding and BMXing will be competing in the Shake Down Competition with all 3 levels, beginner, amateur, and advanced for each sport.

3. Full Moon Tours

We will set out at sunset to explore the south and west shores Astotin Lake and maybe catch a glimpse of a moose, elk or bison silhouette and to listen for the cry of a loon or a distance hoot of an owl. We then will leisurely paddle back by the light of the moon and its reflection on the water.

4. Wanderlust 108

Wanderlust 108 is a triathlon unlike any you’ve ever known. This “mindful triathlon” brings three events together: a 5k run, an outdoor yoga experience, and a guided meditation — but with a twist. Unlike most triathlons, we place community above competition, inner peace above power, and self-awareness above strength. While we’re pretty sure you’ll be challenged during the day, we are equally sure you’ll have a great time doing so. From DJs on our main stage, to lawn activities like hooping and acroyoga, to our local food and craft vendors, there’s a lot to do when you’re not on your mat. Details

6. Glimpses of the Grasslands

Wildlife artist Colin Starkevich, a native Edmontonian, shares his passion for the Grasslands region of Alberta in his world première exhibition of “Glimpses of the Grasslands: The artistic vision of Colin Starkevich”. Through this exhibition, Colin depicts the uniqueness of the Grassland landscape of southern Alberta and its wild inhabitants. Details
