II. Live Music

1. The Leahys

It’s a familiar story. Like so many others, the Leahy sisters began singing in the choir at church. This experience was key in the development of their natural blend and rich harmonies. At the same time, a love of traditional, celtic instrumental music and step-dancing was being instilled in them, handed down by their parents in the Irish, Scottish, French-Canadian, and Cape Breton traditions. Added to this, they each had different personal tastes in music which meant everyone was exposed to a broad array of singers, song-writers, instrumentalists, bands, and musical genres. Details
