1. What Makes It Great?® Mozart Symphony 40
Amadeus—revealed! Rob Kapilow works his insightful magic on one of Mozart’s last and greatest symphonies, No. 40 in G Minor. In the first half of the program, he’ll give you pointers for what to listen for, including excerpts performed by the Orchestra, then puts everything together in a complete, uninterrupted performance in the second half.

2. Mozart Jupiter Symphony
This splendid program displays Mozart’s genius in three quite different musical forms. It offers his last and most invigorating symphony, his first great example of the piano concerto, with its immense charm and many innovations, and selections from his operatic masterpiece, Don Giovanni.

4. Live Music @ GTA Venues
1. Classic Albums Live: The Beatles – Classic Albums Live recreates the greatest albums of the ’60s and ’70s live onstage, note for note – cut for cut. Released in 1969, Abbey Road was the 11th studio album by The Beatles and one of their best-selling releases.
2. Postcard Comets: Travelling Companions Concert – A Songwriter (and popular guitar instructor) David Partridge returns to the Centre with songs, stories and musical guests from his 10 years of making music as Postcard Comets. David will be accompanied by Howard Rabkin on bass, and Mike C. Kelly on percussion. In addition, the trio will welcome some special guests to sing and play a selection of original songs and their favourite covers.
3. Golec uOrkiestra – Catholic Cultural Foundation invites you to the unique Christmas carol concert featuring authentic, dynamic, exceptional – The best folk band from Poland!
4. 54-40 Unplugged – 54-40 has an unbelievable catalogue of hit songs that they can pull from to include in their live performances. Songs such as Baby Ran, She La, Casual Viewin’, One Gun, Ocean Pearl, Love You All, Music Man, I Go Blind, One Day In Your Life, Assoholic, Radio Luv Song, Baby Have Some Faith, Miss You, Blame Your Parents, Easy to Love, Crossing a Canyon, Since When, Nice to Luv You, and Lies to Me.
5. “A Night to Remember” Presley, Perkins, Lewis & Cash– This show is based on the amazing night of music in Sam Phillips’ Sun Studio where Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins jammed and recorded together. The following day, an article was published in the Memphis Press-Scimitar under the title “Million Dollar Quartet” containing the now famous photograph of Presley seated at the piano surrounded by Lewis, Perkins and Cash. Expect non-stop hits by these four legends including “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Hound Dog,” “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Going On,” “Great Balls Of Fire,” “Get Rhythm” and “I Walk The Line.
6. Legends of Motown – Legends of Motown is a 12-piece cast of singers and musicians performing live look-a-like/sound-a-like tributes to The Supremes, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, Jackson 5, Martha and the Vandellas and more and features all your favourite songs of the Motown era.
7. An Evening with Colin Linden – Colin Linden is known as a musician’s musician, thanks to his work as a guitarist, singer and producer with a diverse range of artists that includes Gregg Allman, Bruce Cockburn, Diana Krall, Cassandra Wilson, Keb’ Mo’ and Rhiannon Giddens. Colin Linden’s storied music career is nothing short of incredible.
8. Cavalleria Rusticana/Pagliacci – Opera Film Series – These two short Italian operas are each regarded as the composers’ masterpiece, and are brought together in a new staging by award-winning director Damiano Michieletto, who sets both operas in a poverty stricken village in 1980s southern Italy, where the Mafia has a hold. The Royal Opera’s Music Director Antonio Pappano conducts a cast that includes charismatic Dutch soprano Eva-Maria Westbroek, exciting Italian soprano Carmen Giannattasio and the thrilling Latvian tenor Aleksandrs Antonenko.

4. Progress Festival
Progress is an international festival of performance and ideas presented by the SummerWorks Performance Festival in partnership with The Theatre Centre.
5. Canada’s Top 10 Film Festival
Established in 2001, the festival celebrates and promotes contemporary Canadian cinema and raises awareness of Canadian achievements in film. The 10-day event presents public screenings of the selected films accompanied by introductions and Q&A sessions with filmmakers, as well as special events, industry panels and free engagements.
