Festival Celebrating Arab Food, Culture Returns to Downtown Calgary This Weekend

The festival season is in full swing in Calgary with plenty of events and activities available each day.

This weekend, Calgary Arab Festival will take over Olympic plaza sharing Arabian cultural performances and middle eastern food with Calgarians.

You can enjoy Arabian coffee, and see Arabian Folk dances from various middle eastern countries – from Egypt to Lebanon.

There will be markets (bazaars) where you can find cultural items and unique wares from countries in the middle east.

There will be special activities for kids.

If you want to try Sheesha, there will be a hookah lounge too.

If you want to get a taste of 10 Arab countries in one day for free without leaving Calgary, then visit Olympic Plaza on June 11th from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. and June 12th from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
