Ellerslie Gift & Garden

 
Ellerslie Gift & Garden aims to be a destination for all things garden. Seasonal bedding plants and perennials, trees and shrubs, tropicals, gardening tools and pots, plus clothing, housewares, and jewelry, they have everything you need for your home and garden.

Millcreek Nursery Ltd.

Just north of the Henday on 17 Street, you’ll find 80 acres of trees and plants right within the city at Millcreek Nursery. From large trees to potted perennials, they’ve got you covered no matter what you’re looking for to complete your yard. Arrowhead Nurseries

Located in Northeast Edmonton, Arrowhead focuses on keeping things high-quality and hardy for Alberta winters. They grow trees, shrubs, and perennials suitable for the region. They also graft their own fruit trees and shrubs, flowering crabapples, and many more deciduous and evergreen plants. They’re a great place to go for larger trees and shrubs that you may not find at other centres.

Brenneis Greenhouse

Open for the months of May and June, Brenneis is known for their bedding plants, vegetables and herbs, but most especially for their hanging baskets. People come from around the area for the baskets full of colour and fragrance. The three greenhouses are packed with plants, so you’ll definitely find something for your garden.

Kuhlmann’s

Kuhlman’s is a popular greenhouse, market, and flowership right in the city. They’re known for their flowers and shrubs, but are definitely best known for their selection of vegetable plants. They can also offer tips on growing them at home, plus recipes for after you grow you very own crop.

The Root Seller

 
The Root Seller can help you with your baskets and pots, both with plants to fill them with and guidance on how to grow them successfully, whether you have a green thumb or not. The full selection of what is currently available can be found online so you can shop at your own convenience and pick up later. They even have greenhouse and growing equipment available and can teach you how to use it.

Arch Greenhouses

Committed to growing their plants in an environmentally sustainable way, including using predatory insects to reduce pesticide use, Arch sprouted from an adult therapy program and became a local staple. From brewer’s hops and tropical houseplants to classic bedding plants, they’re great for both the beginner and the pro.

Salisbury Greenhouse

Salisbury is one of Alberta’s largest full-service garden centres, with everything from bedding plants to landscaping supplies. Create a wish list online while you browse through thousands of trees, shrubs, veggies (their tomatoes are a local favourite), vines, annuals, and perennials. From tall trees to fairy gardens, they have you covered.

South Cooking Lake Greenhouses believes they are the perfect size for you: small enough that you can get personal service, but large enough that you’ll find even more than what you came for. They grow more than 90% of their plants onsite and will be happy to help you find the perfect one for your yard and garden. Visiting Wallish has been a family tradition for locals since 1919 – so make sure you come see what all the excitement is about. You won’t have to wonder long. Just east of Sherwood Park, Estate Gardens is proudly family owned and operated. They started small, but with a focus on customer service, they’re quickly making a name for themselves. For example, they off such services as the sold and hold – choose your hanging basket and they’ll keep it in their greenhouse until the danger of frost is long gone to things stay safe and healthy. Thiel’s offers “food, foliage, and flowers” all in one place. They aim to provide you with unique and unusual plants you won’t find elsewhere so you can get creative in your garden. Aspen Grove Nurseries

 
Aspen Grove is outside of the city – which makes the country charm all the more authentic. From caliper trees to bedding plants, they are the place to go whether you’re looking for one plant or 100. Cheyenne Tree Farms

Sitting on 300 acres of land just outside of Beaumont, Cheyenne Tree Farms has been serving the community for 40 years.
