On April 1, J. K. Rawling, the author of the Harry Potter series announced the launch of ‘Harry Potter at Home‘, to add a touch of magic to the lives of children, parents, teachers and care-givers confined to their homes.

You can get sorted into Hogwarts houses through a Sorting Ceremony, learn to make your very own broomstick and more!

Find a wealth of information including craft videos, puzzles, other fun games, articles and more. First-time readers can have a fun time getting to know the wizarding world including a fun guide on how to start your Harry Potter journey.

Harry Potter At Home project is a collaboration between Rowling, Audible, Bloomsbury, OverDrive, Scholastic, and Pottermore Publishing.

More than anything, the most welcome part for young readers will be that the first Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone will be available for free throughout the month of April. You can stream the audiobook via the Audible Stories platform, or borrow ebooks and audiobooks via the OverDrive library services in over 20 different languages worldwide.

Earlier this year, a special edition of the first Harry Potter book was also announced. This book, illustrated by MinaLima, also comes with many features including pop-up pages. The artistically designed book will enhance your stroll through the Diagon Alley, exploration of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and enjoyment during the festivities at the Great Hall feast. The book is set to hit the shelves on October 20th this year.
