Adding to the number of museums that are allowing free public viewing is The Princess Diana Museum. The Princess Diana 3D Virtual Museum was launched last year on the 22nd anniversary of Princess Diana’s tragic death by The Princess and The Platypus Foundation, a public charity.
The Museum holds over 1500 of Diana’s personal artifacts from early childhood, teenage years, humanitarian work, among others. The Museum has 14 galleries displaying clothing and other memorablia from Diana’s life. Each of the article on display tells a unique story. Visitors can also listen to exclusive interviews with individuals connected to some of these pieces on display. The items on display were photographed in high resolution 2D & 3D and virtual reality (VR) allowing visitors to see them up close from anywhere in the world.
Once you enter the museum, you will be guided by a Virtual Avatar in English or Spanish. Visitors can also connect with other visitors through real time community chat. Usually, the Museum can be accessed for $3.95 a day.
