Spring is around the corner, and the Harrison Tulip Festival is once again inviting you to walk through a sea of colour.

Set against the backdrop of Mount Cheam, the festival opens in April and spans 45 acres, featuring 150 varieties of tulips and more than 14 million spring flowers, including daffodils and hyacinths. Organizers say the exact opening date will depend on bloom conditions, with an announcement expected soon.
The festival is known as Canada’s largest tulip celebration. Per the news release, the festival was named the World’s Best Instagrammable Tulip Farm in 2024 at the World Tulip Summit in Holland.
This year brings plenty of new experiences alongside the flowers.
One of the most eye-catching areas is the four-acre show garden, where tulips are arranged in layered displays featuring varieties such as parrots, doubles, fringed and Viridiflora. Beyond the flowers, the farm atmosphere encourages visitors to stay awhile with food trucks, live music, yoga sessions at sunrise and sunset, bouquet-making workshops and open green spaces for games.
Night Garden
To mark 20 years of tulip festivals in B.C., the organizers are introducing Night Garden, an evening experience that turns the festival’s four-acre show garden into a softly lit walkway of lanterns and glowing installations. Once dusk settles, the gardens shift mood — pathways light up, tulip beds glow under lanterns and visitors can wander through the flowers in a completely different atmosphere.
Night Garden will run on five evenings, April 16, 17, 18, 24 and 25, from 6 to 10 p.m. Tickets cost $35 and include regular festival admission beginning at 4 p.m., giving visitors time to explore the fields before sunset at 7:30 p.m.
The evening experience also includes live music, three food trucks including Dutch street food, and a small market featuring local farmers, bakers, artisans, a cidery and a brewery. An illuminated swing set and other light installations will guide visitors through the gardens.
Another new addition is the Bloom Bar, where guests can build their own bouquets or flower crowns. Early bird “Any Day” tickets range from $18 to $25, and a $39 round-trip shuttle from Lougheed Station will run on select April dates.
