If you’re looking for a day trip from Ottawa this weekend, head to Renfrew for the Greatest Fair in the Ottawa Valley.

Renfrew Fair
Every year, this fair organized by Renfrew Agricultural Society offers the chance to check out some local entertainment, enjoy some great food and drinks, and a great way to get to know your community.
There’s plenty to do and see during this 4-day festival. Festivities begin on September 8th, so head here early for a thrilling midway ride.
One of the highlights of this year’s festival is the RCMP Musical Ride. See the equestrian skills of the cavalry during the Musical Ride performed by a full troop of 32 riders and their horses performing choreographed cavalry drills to music on Friday, September 9th.
Other fun entertainment at the Renfrew Fair includes the demolition derby, a horse pull, and performances at the Renfrew Armouries. Enjoy concerts by David James, and Eric Ethridge on Friday, Little Bones on Saturday, and Leahy Next Generation on Sunday.
Don’t forget to head to the exhibit hall to see some of the best agricultural displays of Eastern Ontario.
There will be lots of fun prizes to check out during the festival so make sure you enter the contests.
