Toronto’s Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) is back for its 146th year from August 15 to September 1, 2025, promising a dizzying spread of over 30 inventive dishes.

This year’s menu pushes the limits of culinary imagination, with everything from butter-infused creations to sweet-and-savoury mashups.
Following last year’s induction of Deep-Fried Butter into the CNE Food Hall of Fame, butter takes centre stage again in ice cream, burgers, and even soda.
Visitors can also try quirky offerings like Chicken Nugget Cookies, a 2-Foot Hot Dog, and Maki Sushi Corn Dogs.
The Midway and Food Building will also showcase global street food twists, including Butter Chicken Birria-Style Tacos and Ice “Kreamchi” Dumplings.

- Butter Burger – Juicy beef patty topped with melting creamy butter, delivering a rich, indulgent bite every time.

- Meatball Mozzarella Corn Dog – Meatball and gooey mozzarella encased in crispy corn batter, served with marinara sauce.
- Fruity Pebble Corn Dog – Halal hot dog and mozzarella coated in cereal and icing for sweet-crunchy fun.

- 2-Foot Hot Dog – Giant 24-inch beef hot dog loaded with classic toppings, perfect for serious appetites.

- Butter Chicken Birria-Style Tacos – Soft tacos with butter chicken, biryani rice, raita, and fresh herbs.
- Bisco Fried Chicken Crunch Ice Cream Sandwich – Fried chicken with cookie crumbs, ice cream, and maple chili sauce.
- UFO Burger – Two smash patties, cheese, bacon, onions, and secret sauce sealed inside a brioche bun.
- Smash Burger Taco – Smashed beef patty in a tortilla with cheese, pickles, and special sauce.
- Butter Chicken + Waffles – Crispy waffles filled with butter chicken, topped with hot maple syrup.
- The BACONE with Spicy Habanero Bacon Cotton Candy – Pastry cone with cream, maple glaze, cotton candy, and butter tart.
- Black & Pink Latte & Mochi Donuts – K-pop themed drinks paired with black Oreo and pink mochi donuts.

- Deep-Fried Frozen Watermelon – Juicy frozen watermelon battered and fried, dusted with powdered sugar.
- Deep-Fried Maple Cookies – Maple cream-filled cookies battered and fried until golden and gooey.
- Deep-Fried Pizza Slices on a Stick – Pizza slices battered, fried, and served in creamy garlic, hot honey, or sweet-spicy flavours.
- Chicago Mix Popcorn Chicken Tenders – Crispy chicken tenders coated in caramel and cheddar popcorn mix.
- Pickle Boats – Pickle halves filled with inventive toppings like smoked meat, s’mores, fiesta, pretzel, or everything seasoning.
- Poutine Dumps – Dumplings topped with Japanese curry, cheese, chili crisp, onions, shallots, and garlic.
- Steak Barrel BBQ’ing – Smoky-grilled meats cooked inside barrels for unique charred flavour.
Special events bring more ways to indulge — “Dinner in the Sky” offers 150-foot-high dining views, while the first-ever CNE Drag Brunch Extravaganza on August 17 will reunite Canada’s Drag Race Season 1 queens BOA, Juice Boxx, Kyne, Lemon, and Tynomi Banks, with proceeds going to a 2SLGBTQIA+ charity.
The CNE is also debuting Oscar Sort, an AI-powered recycling assistant in partnership with Coca-Cola, designed to boost waste diversion rates and reduce CO₂ emissions while engaging visitors through interactive digital displays.
