Imagine Dragons will open the newly branded RBC Amphitheatre with its first-ever headlining show.
The multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning band will take the stage on May 21, 2026, marking the venue’s official Opening Night in partnership with Live Nation Canada. Tickets go live April 17 at 10 a.m. ET through Ticketmaster.ca, with early perks aimed at RBC clients, including access to a reserved ticket pool and a $20 Concert Cash credit for future shows.
There is more planned than just the music. Everyone attending Opening Night will receive a commemorative gift, along with access to special on-site activations designed specifically for the evening. It is part of RBC’s broader push through its RBCxMusic platform, which has already connected more than 8 million fans to live events, according to Mary DePaoli, the bank’s Chief Marketing Officer.
The incentives extend beyond one night. RBC clients can tap into perks like exclusive ticket inventory, upgrades, and access to premium experiences such as front-pit festival passes and express entry at select venues. New additions this season include fan zones, photo installations, and a lounge at Rogers Stadium with shaded seating and charging stations.
Opening Night also sets the tone for what organizers call a record-breaking season, with more than 80 shows scheduled. A quick look at the calendar gives a sense of that scale. Khalid is set for May 24, followed by Kid Cudi on May 26. Toward the end of the month, Martin Garrix brings his tour across multiple nights starting May 29. In June, names like Meghan Trainor and Machine Gun Kelly are also on the lineup.
Live Nation Canada president Erik Hoffman described the Imagine Dragons performance as the band’s only amphitheatre appearance in North America this year, calling it a milestone for the venue.
Looking ahead, the amphitheatre itself is set for a larger transformation. Renovations are planned to begin in fall 2027, with a phased reopening starting in summer 2029 and full year-round capabilities expected by 2030.
