The Annual Orchid Fair returns to St. Albert on March 22.
Organised by the Orchid Society of Alberta, the 44th annual fair will turn Enjoy Centre into a tropical paradise! It’s the biggest orchid show in Western Canada, judged by The American Orchid Society, and it’s got everything orchid lovers could dream of, with over 15,000 square feet of all things orchids.
You’ll find all sorts of orchids, from the rare to the truly unusual, in every shape, size, and colour from local vendors.
This year’s vendors include:
- Calade Orchids and Tropicals, Edmonton
- Chanthorn Orchids, Vancouver
- Ching Hua Orchids, Tainan, Taiwan
- Clay Necessities Inc (Decorative clay pots and pottery)
- Ecuagenera, Cuenca, Ecuador
- Garden Slippers, Calgary
- MagicOasis, Toronto
- Maldawn Orchids, Edmonton
- Sunset Valley Orchids, Vista, California
- Ten Shin Gardens, Yuanli, Taiwan
- Terry’s Orchids, Edmonton
- Willgro Orchid Accessories, Surrey
And it’s not just about the orchids! There will also be an art exhibition and competition, and an awards ceremony.
General admission is only $10, and kids under 12 get in for free, so it’s a great way to spend a day with the family.
The Orchid Fair will be held from Friday, March 22, to Sunday, March 24, at the Enjoy Centre, 101 Riel Dr, St. Albert.
Interested in taking professional photos? Tripods are allowed in the show area on Sunday, March 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Handheld and mono-pod photography are permitted at any time. On Saturday, doors open at 9 a.m. exclusively for photographers through Entrance 1.
Don’t miss out on this blooming good time as we welcome spring in Alberta.
