According to Canada’s Wonderland, this exciting new addition will take thrill-seekers on a whirlwind ride filled with bends, dives, and a grand 13-metre (42-foot) ascent to a zero-gravity wall. Upon reaching this peak, rafters will experience a brief sensation of weightlessness before descending rapidly towards a sparkling pool, culminating their exhilarating journey with a spectacular splash.
Canada’s Wonderland says the slide is not just a mere addition but is inspired by the enchanting waterfalls along the Broad River on Moosehorn Trail. This trail, nestled in Fundy National Park, New Brunswick, is a significant part of the UNESCO-acknowledged Fundy Biosphere Region. The name “Moosehorn” pays tribute to the river rock’s antler shape, carved naturally over time by water erosion. Moreover, this region is also known for its efforts to preserve the endangered Inner Bay of Fundy Atlantic Salmon.
Phil Liggett, general manager at Canada’s Wonderland, emphasized the park’s objective to honour Canada’s vast natural landscapes and the adventurous essence of its inhabitants. “This slide embodies our ongoing commitment to champion Canadian-themed attractions that showcase our nation’s rich natural and cultural tapestry,” he said.
For those eager to experience Moosehorn Falls, Canada’s Wonderland is offering a special promotion. The 2024 Gold Pass, priced at $99 until September 4th, provides unlimited access to Moosehorn Falls and other attractions.
Early purchasers before August 13th will also enjoy five Fast Lane Plus passes. This pass encompasses other events, including the Halloween Haunt from September 22nd to October 29th and the WinterFest, beginning on November 17th, ensuring year-long amusement.
