The pilot program, called pcogo, is now available at Jordan’s No Frills (King & Shaw), Bo’s No Frills (Richmond & John), and Jesse’s No Frills (Mount Pleasant & Eglinton).
The initiative allows PC Optimum members with at least 30,000 lifetime points to use the PC Optimum app to scan items as they shop. Customers can view a real-time estimated total of their purchases and track PC Optimum points earned during the trip. Once finished, they proceed to a dedicated self-checkout lane, designed to cut down on waiting times.
According to Melanie Singh, President of Loblaw’s Hard Discount Division, the pilot reflects customer demand for greater speed and convenience. She said the company’s goal is to simplify the shopping process while maintaining the core values of the No Frills experience.
To participate, eligible customers can check into one of the three pilot locations by scanning a QR code displayed in-store or turning on location sharing within the app. This ensures accurate access to store-specific products, prices, and promotions.
