Embark on a joyous adventure along the Napanee River aboard the Norman Paul, a custom-built, 45-foot pontoon boat.

The Napanee River, conveniently located just a block south from Napanee’s bustling downtown, is known for its unique tidal phenomena. This ‘seiche’ effect, seen only in one other river globally, is a captivating sight as the river rises and falls between six to sixteen inches. This spectacle, created by the winds across Lake Ontario pushing and pulling water, can last several days.

Each round trip on the Norman Paul is approximately 16 kilometres, spanning around 1.5 hours.

While cruising, delight in the offerings of a premium bar rail and a diverse selection of wines, ales, and soft drinks. From shareable boards featuring a mix of cheeses, meats, and crudités, to individual platters and delicious wraps, the menu caters to diverse tastes. Add a finishing touch to your meal with a drink from a selection of ales, white and red wines, or soft drinks.

Pricing is set at a reasonable $36 for adults, $18 for children 10 and under, and children under 2 years old enjoy free admission.

They also offer unique summer cruises, including a drumming cruise with an Algonquin women’s circle, a historical talk by author Rick Revelle on Indigenous and settler life, and a luxurious Champagne and Caviar sunset cruise toward Mohawk Bay and concert cruises.

For a more intimate experience, private cruise charters and dock-side venue bookings are also available to host a merry gathering of friends or family. Enjoy the ambiance of boating while relishing the full menu from The Waterfront River Pub & Terrace.

After your river tour, enjoy the additional amenities Napanee River Bank offers. From a public dock, a picturesque picnic area, a revamped walking trail leading to the falls and fountain, a pavilion, and a children’s splash pad and playground, the town offers plenty to explore. Just a block away, downtown Napanee awaits shopping and dining opportunities for a fun-filled afternoon.

So why wait? Embark on this unique aquatic adventure today and make memories to cherish!
