Explore the ‘City of Bridges‘ from a new perspective on Prairie Lily from the South Saskatchewan River.
Hop on board the Prairie Lily for a cruise through the Meewasin Valley, and take in the beauty of the South Saskatchewan River, the friendly city, and the expansive prairie sky.
The Prairie Lily, which sails from May 11 to September 10 this year, was built in 1989 by Skipperliner in La Crosse, Wisconsin. It was originally used as a sightseeing and charter boat called the Fiesta Queen on the Colorado River. Prairie River Cruises bought and moved it to Saskatoon in 2012, renaming it. Prairie Lily began sailing the South Saskatchewan River in 2013 and has a total capacity of 119 passengers.
Prairie Lily offers four options for cruising: Sightseeing Cruises, Dinner and Brunch Cruises, and Special Cruises, and you can also host your own event.
The sightseeing cruises are an hour long, with boarding beginning half an hour before departure. Snacks and beverages (both non-alcoholic and alcoholic) are available for purchase on board. The evening sightseeing cruises at 6:30 pm are available on the upper deck only, as capacity allows and weather permitting.
For those looking to indulge in a delicious meal while cruising, the Dinner and Weekend Brunch Cruises are a perfect choice. Chef Kevin from Flavours Catering prepares meals for these cruises, with dinner cruises departing at 6:30 pm and brunch cruises at 11:30 am on Saturdays and Sundays.
There are also Luncheon Cruises every Friday starting from July 5 until August 23, where you can also enjoy themed meals inspired by rivers around the world, like German food for a Rhine River cruise or Cajun cuisine for a Mississippi River cruise.

For something extra special, the Prairie Lily offers Feature Cruises throughout the season. Events like the Nutrien Fireworks Festival and Sommelier Tasting Cruises (wine & food) are limited to 48 adult-only guests.
Combine a Prairie Lily Cruise with a Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan performance for the ultimate experience. Enjoy a 4:00 pm cruise on the Prairie Lily, followed by a 7:30 pm performance of Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan, and receive a $10 discount on combined tickets.
The most popular Feature Cruise is the Nutrien Fireworks Festival during Labour Day weekend! The Prairie Lily offers a special cruise on the Saturday night of the festival, with a front-row seat to the fireworks show set to music. The evening includes a casual cruise with appetizers and sparkling wine on the upper deck, a delicious meal in the main dining cabins, and the fireworks show from the centre of the river at 9:30 pm.
The Prairie Lily dock is located in the Kinsmen Park Area on Spadina Crescent East, and parking is available for visitors at various locations in the area.
Whether you are a visitor in the city or an old-timer, grab your friends and family, and discover Saskatoon like never before on the Prairie Lily.
