Events Description
Taking place over the Labour Day weekend September 4th & 5th, the festival provides fun, food, and entertainment all on the river’s edge, with the night ending in an outstanding display of fireworks.
Entertainment including the Cultural Showcase at the Amphitheatre Stage filled with amazing performances with roots from all over the world like Scotland, China, India, Afghanistan, Japan, Ireland and many more!
There will also be Family Fun Zones in Friendship Park and Nasser Plaza filled with kid-friendly activities like Beeper the Clown, face painting, a ping pong table, bouncy castles and more!
Community Face Off: The Community Face Off offers a unique opportunity for our city’s Community Members to put themselves and their friends and family members in the spotlight! You are invited to participate in a series of friendly activities for the chance to win $500 for your community! This money is to be used for community association programs and events. Teams will compete in games such as Giant Jenga, Axe Throwing, Lawn Darts, Glowing Ladder Ball, Lawn Checkers. By showing up to participate in activities, community members accumulate an attendance tally towards their neighbourhoods overall score for the weekend. The neighborhood with the highest attendance at the end of the weekend will win the grand prize!
Safety Fair filled with booths and information geared to help us learn how to be safe and get involved in our community!
There will also be plenty of food and arts vendors to shop and eat amazing local Saskatchewan products all weekend!
The night will end with a spectacular fireworks display, choreographed to music. This is an experience you cannot miss!
Our fireworks display is provided by Fireworks Spectacular, a two-time winner of the Gold Jupiter Award at the Montreal International Fireworks Competition, considered the largest and most prestigious competition in the world. Each night the fireworks show will be unique with different aspects and music to ignite the skies for an unforgettable show.
