Reservations For British Columbia 2020 Camping Season Will Open on May 25, 2020

As part of British Columbia’s reopening plan, provincial parks and recreation sites will be reopened so that people can enjoy nature while continuing to respect the guidance of the provincial health officer (PHO) and the Ministry of Health.

Provincial parks, recreation sites and trails reopening

British Columbians are requested to visit parks close to their home, maintain safe physical distances of at least two meters and choose low risk activities while using trails,  and avoid travelling to small communities. Some parks will remain closed due to potential challenges with high numbers of anticipated visitors. Some facilities such as playgrounds, halls and picnic shelters will remain closed.

Provincial parks that attract large crowds will only reopen once it can be done safely.

According to BC Parks, there will be some changes to the way some services are provided and limits may be placed on the number of guests permitted in campgrounds.

Hot springs and backcountry communal cabins will remain closed.
