Scotiabank clients can now earn and save through Scene+ at more than 1,400 Shell Canada locations, provided they link an eligible Scotiabank debit or credit card to a Shell Go+ account.

The arrangement gives cardholders automatic fuel savings and Scene+ earning options when they pay at participating Shell stations. Scotiabank says eligible clients can save 3 cents per litre on all fuel grades once their card is linked. Those using an eligible Scotiabank credit card can receive an additional 4 cents per litre off Shell V-Power® fuel.
Clients may also earn up to 3 cents per litre in Scene+ point value on Shell V-Power® when using an eligible Scotiabank credit card linked to Shell Go+. Scene+ points can be earned and redeemed on fuel, car washes and eligible convenience store purchases.
Simona Salter, Scotiabank’s Executive Vice President of Cards, Loyalty, Payments and Client Experience, said the expansion is meant to give clients more value on purchases they already make. She also noted the role of Shell and Tangerine in broadening Scene+ earning opportunities.
Scotiabank says clients using an eligible Scotiabank credit card can earn up to 4.5 times more Scene+ points on average than members using only a Scene+ membership.
To activate the benefit, clients must sign in to their Scotiabank account, visit the Shell Benefits page, and link their eligible cards to an existing or new Shell Go+ account. Once linked, they can tap their card at participating Shell stations to start receiving savings and earning points.
