The Kingsway BIA
Celebrate a momentous occasion with the 51st anniversary of The Kingsway BIA at the Taste of The Kingsway festival, presented by Mantella Corporation. Spanning from September 5 to 7, this extravaganza marks the 27th year of South Etobicoke’s grandest street festival, promising fun, entertainment, and various activities for all age groups.
Experience a gastronomic adventure with a variety of international cuisines and beverages available at well-known restaurants, extended patios, and a bustling street vendor market in The Kingsway.
Highlights of the Festival
- Global flavours and local favourites: From international vendors to The Kingsway’s restaurants and patios, visitors can sample a wide variety of dishes and treats.
- Live music: The Humberview Group Main Stage and TD Humbervale Entertainment Zone will showcase talent from across Ontario, including local performers.
- Beer garden: Great Lakes Brewery will be serving up its signature #FreshGLB at the festival’s beverage garden.
- Scotiabank Dog Show: Saturday, Sept. 6, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., furry friends take the spotlight.
- NHL Alumni Meet & Greet: Hockey fans can meet Darcy Tucker (Sept. 7, 12:00–2:00 p.m.) and Mikhail Grabovski (Sept. 7, 2:30–4:30 p.m.).
- HMCS York Band: Performing Sept. 5 and 6 at the Shoppers Drug Mart Entertainment Zone, from 6:00–10:00 p.m.
- Newton’s Groove School Performances: Students take the stage Sept. 6–7, complete with balloons for kids.
- Free face painting: Offered at the Taste of The Kingsway Information Booth (Royal York & Bloor) on Sept. 6, from 1:00–4:00 p.m.
- Farm Boy giveaways: Visitors can enjoy complimentary samples and promo cards.
The festival also supports Campfire Circle, the official charity partner, with a new kid’s entertainment zone benefiting its programs.
