Taste Your Way Through Calgary’s Food Festival This Weekend

Taste of Calgary is back after two years at a new location starting today.

The 4-day festival showcases Calgary’s famous food and drink purveyors.

If you are heading to the gastronomic festival, this is what to know and expect:

The festival is free to attend and food from various vendors can be purchased using sampling tickets. Each ticket costs $1 and 2 to 7 tickets will be required to buy eats and treats.

 

Agni Fine Indian Cuisine, Amihan Grill + Bakeshop, Amizone Inc, The Banquet Drinkery, Blowers & Grafton, The Canadian Brewhouse, Brie & Banquet Wild Catering Co., Chunk’d, Churros By Fernando, Eatcrow Snack Bar, Expatasia, Fantasy Donuts and Pretzels, Flower & Wolf, Foothills Creamery, Fraser & Fig Inc, Golden Kway Teow Palace, Good Fillin’, Kitchen Lizard, Kokoms Bannock Kitchen, Las Canarias, Mia’s Lechon, Pampa Brazilian Steakhouse, Pure Modern Asian, Quechivo Salvadoran Street Food, Rooster Bowl, Simple Simon Pies, Simply Irie and Tasca Piccante are among the 29 restaurants serving global cuisines at the festival.

In addition, Calgary food trucks like Breta Burgers, Krave YYC, Cookie Dough Stand, Mumbai Bites, Peanut Butter Cupboard, Smoke N BBQ, Smokeshow Foodtruck, The Burrito Mexican Food, The Dumpling Hero, Uzu Taiyaki, VBurger, Viet 2Go, and Family Squeezed will be onsite.

 

You can wash it all down with drinks from Banded Peak Brewing, The Banquet Drinkery, Bow River Brewing, Burwood Distillery, Confluence Distilling, Corkbeard Wine Co., Eau Claire Distillery, Highwood Distillers, Romero Distilling Co., Starr Distilling, The Canadian Seltzer Company, The Fort Distillery, Tonic & Co. Importers, Village Brewery, Zero Issue Brewing and Wildlife Life Distillery.

Taste of Calgary also boasts a great stage line-up highlighting local talents.

Natalie Inga, Meadowsweet, The Steadies, Oliver Miguel and the Revolucion, will take to the stage on Thursday, while The Frontiers, Matt Blais, Chris Leblanc, and The Rondel Roberts Band will entertain the crowds on Friday.

Saturday will see performances by Flowshine, Blueprint, Fun McDowell, and Sparrow Blue. Sadlier Brown Band, Flaysher, Legends Band, Syd and The Alright Guys will close out the festival on Sunday.

The festival runs 11 a.m. to 10 p.m from August 4 to 7, 2022 on the corner of 4th Avenue and 9th Street at Calgary Parking Authority Lot 6 located at 311 8th Street SW.

If you are driving to the festival, parking is available across the street.

The venue is easily accessible by public transit.
