‘The Elf on the Shelf’ Joins Cineplex’s Family Favourites Lineup for the Holidays

As part of Cineplex’s popular Family Favourites program, The Elf on the Shelf Movie Magic – Family Favourites will bring The Elf on the Shelf and Elf Pets films to theatres across Canada for the first time.

 

The collaboration between Cineplex, The Lumistella Company, and Playology International marks the 20th anniversary of the beloved holiday franchise, offering families an affordable way to celebrate the season together.

The screenings will take place at 80 Cineplex locations nationwide, with tickets priced at $3.99 plus tax and an online booking fee of up to $1.50. CineClub members can use their complimentary monthly ticket for the event.

Movie Schedule

Screenings are scheduled for Saturday, November 29, and Saturday, December 6, both at 11 a.m. local time in Cineplex theatres nationwide.

  • The November 29 lineup includes An Elf’s Story: The Elf on the Shelf (2011) and Elf Pets: Santa’s St. Bernards Save Christmas (2018).
  • The December 6 screening will feature Elf Pets: A Fox Cub’s Christmas Tale (2019) and Elf Pets: Santa’s Reindeer Rescue (2020).

Visitors can meet a Scout Elf in person at Cineplex Cinemas Vaughan on November 29 and Cineplex Cinemas Fairview Mall on December 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

 

Special promotions will include an Elf on the Shelf Kids “Mini Combo” and themed merchandise at select theatres.

Families can also meet a Scout Elf in person at Cineplex Cinemas Vaughan on November 29 and at Cineplex Cinemas Fairview Mall on December 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The screenings launch The Elf on the Shelf’s 20th anniversary celebrations, which include fashion and lifestyle collaborations such as a capsule collection with Peace Collective and a family sleepwear line with Urban Planet.

Cineplex will also host its annual Community Day on November 15, offering free Universal Pictures films to raise funds for BGC Canada.
