After multiple delays caused by the pandemic, Whitby’s Thermëa Spa will open this October.
Thermëa Spa Village
It is the only Nordic spa in GTA.
The Nordic Spa experience, if you didn’t know, not only relaxes your entire body but also improves circulation and removes toxins from your body. It involves Thermotherapy in which the visitors are exposed to heat and then cold, followed by a period of rest. This whole cycle is then repeated until you feel completely stress-free.
The main thermal experience costs $89 and includes thermotherapy, saunas, baths and rest areas access.
You can opt for additional spa experiences like:
- Rhassoul: a spa treatment inspired by ancient Moroccan traditions ($40 extra)
- The Aufguss Rituals: features a sauna experience based on an ancient German practice
You can also choose from various massages like Relaxation Massage, Intensive Massage, Lymphatic Drainage Massage, and Mom-To-Be Massage each lasting 60 minutes costing $165 each.
Thermëa Spa Village will also feature:
- Källa Flotation Pool: a salt water pool. ($50 extra)
- The Biergarden: an outdoor public space for food and fun
- The Loggä: a large sauna.
- Lounge & Rest space.
The spa will open on October 6th. Reservations are now open for those aged 19 and older.

Thermëa Spa Village in Whitby is the first of its kind, with state-of-the-art creations and buildings. Facililties include Källa flotation pool, the grand Loggä event sauna, the steamy Vaporos and the Biergarden with its grandiose water tower feature.
Enjoy sauna rituals, bathing areas, breathtaking views, and soothing experiences throughout the grounds.
Alternate between hot in the many saunas, cold in the cool pools, and rest all over the village as you partake in the age-old tradition of the thermal experience.
Enjoy massages, face, body and foot care treatments and treat yourselves to curated dining offerings.

Free parking is available at the spa village, There are four parking spaces with free charging for electric vehicles.
