This grand New Year’s Eve bash by the city of Toronto will feature dazzling 10-minute-long fireworks and live performances.

The event begins at 10 p.m., with festivities spread across several waterfront locations:

  • Harbourfront Centre serves as the main hub of the waterfront celebration, featuring Winterfest programming with DJ Skate Night by DJ Smartiez, immersive light installations, food vendors in Community Square, and a large Winter Maze. The main concert stage hosts performances by cootie catcher, Kalisway, and headliner Lu Kala, hosted by Mayor Olivia Chow, Makayla Couture, and CP24’s Jessica Smith, followed by fireworks and a DJ KIMIWVN dance party until 1 a.m.
  • Sherbourne Common focuses on movement and live interaction through the Dance Together Festival, offering participatory dance lessons that invite visitors to actively join in throughout the night. The site also features pop-up circus performances by INCIRQUE, adding visual spectacle and spontaneous entertainment as audiences gather to celebrate together along the eastern waterfront.
  • Toronto Music Garden offers a more relaxed viewing experience, where National Film Board of Canada short films are projected onto the Canada Malting Silos throughout the evening. Visitors can also encounter pop-up circus performances by INCIRQUE, blending film, performance, and waterfront scenery into a quieter but engaging celebration space.

The fireworks show begins at midnight and can be viewed from any location overlooking Toronto’s inner harbour.

For those who prefer to ring in the New Year from the warmth and comfort of their homes, the City of Toronto Culture YouTube channel will livestream the entire event.

The TTC, GO Transit and UP Express offer free services from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m., making it easy for party-goers to travel to and from the event.

For those driving to the event, Green P parking lots are available, but note that road closures around Queens Quay W., York Street, and Bay St. will be in effect from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

There will not be any celebrations at Nathan Phillips Square.

Those visiting Nathan Phillips Square can explore the Cavalcade of Lights – the City’s Christmas tree, holiday lights and public ice skating.
