The City of Markham is all set to light up your Canada Day with an explosion of joy, music, and fireworks.
This vibrant event, held in the heart of Markham Centre, promises an all-day action-packed itinerary from 3 to 10:30 PM that’ll make everyone cheer, “Oh, Canada!”
Leading the star-studded lineup on July 1st is none other than Tyler Shaw, the multi-Platinum-selling artist who has been serenading us with his Platinum hit singles like “To the Man Who Let Her Go,” “With You,” and “Love You Still.”
Adding her pitch-perfect voice to the festivities is 21-year-old songstress Noelle, a native of the Tyendinage Mohawk territory in Ontario. Prepare to be entranced by Elijah Woods’ hit single, “Lights,” a Canadian Gold-certified melody.
But the fun doesn’t stop at the music. Amid the food trucks dishing out sumptuous delights like BBQ pork and steak, churros, and ice cream, kids will be spoiled for choice with an array of free activities. Expect airbrush tattoos, an interactive dance party, sports activities, and even a visit from the CoComelon mascot, thanks to Alectra Utilities.
With crowd favourites like Doo Doo the Clown, magician Aaron Matthews, and the City’s Recreation Trailer returning, this year promises to be an absolute blast!
Access is a breeze with abundant free parking and transit options. So, hold up your Canadian flags and head to Markham Centre for the annual celebration, which caps off with a dazzling firework display at 10 PM.
This is one Canadian extravaganza you won’t want to miss!
