The move enables passengers to book rides to and from communities throughout the Island, including Charlottetown, Summerside, Cavendish, and Souris.
The service is designed to accommodate longer-distance travel within the province, offering competitive fares and the option for advance reservations.
According to Uride, IslandLink aims to improve accessibility for residents and visitors alike, facilitating travel for various purposes including commuting, education, and tourism.
IslandLink is accessible through the existing Uride app. While pickup times may be longer for remote areas, the company recommends scheduling rides in advance to ensure availability and minimize wait times.
Uride operates in more than 30 Canadian cities and focuses on providing transportation solutions in smaller, often underserved, communities.
