Krause Berry Farms is set to host its momentous Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off event this weekend, an affair where giant pumpkins, squash, and other colossal fruits and vegetables tip the scales, vying for the heaviest title amid a lively, attentive audience.

With free admission, the family-friendly event promises a wholesome day out, commencing with contestants’ arrivals between 9:30 and 10:30 AM on Saturday, followed by the official weigh-off kick-starting around 11:00 AM, as giant produce is assessed in ascending order of their anticipated weight.
Master Carver Bruce Waugh will be at the event, demonstrating his exceptional carving skills from 10 AM to 3 PM.
Recognized by the Great Pumpkin Commonwealth (GPC) and celebrated as a world-recognized giant pumpkin weigh-off occasion, the event has historically attracted approximately 4,000 attendees in 2019.
Beyond the scales and spectacle, per the event organisers, visitors can indulge in a pumpkin paradise where every conceivable culinary delight – from pies, ice cream, waffles, shortcakes, to shakes – celebrates the versatile vegetable. The Porch, The Market, The Bakery & KB Coral tantalize with an array of pumpkin-spiced treats, while the Estate Winery offers a sip of their award-winning wines, all under the soft autumnal symphony of live music.

What: The event BC’s Official Great Pumpkin Commonwealth (GPC) and Certified World Recognized Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off Event! Contestants will weigh their Gargantuan Gourds, as well as other giant fruits and veggies, in front of a large crowd of enthusiastic spectators, fellow growers and the media!
