Organizers say the lineup is designed to celebrate the atmosphere that has long made the beach one of Ontario’s biggest summer destinations.
Mayor Brian Smith said the focus remains on the experiences visitors associate with Wasaga Beach, including music along the waterfront, evenings on the sand and community gatherings by Georgian Bay. The town welcomes more than two million visitors every year and is home to the world’s longest freshwater beach, stretching 14 kilometres.
Several major events are returning, while new additions are also being introduced for the 2026 season.
Canada Day Celebrations | July 1
Nancy Island Historic Site will host a full day of family programming tied to the War of 1812 and the story of HMS Nancy. Visitors can take part in historical tours and interpretive activities before the evening concludes with Wasaga Beach’s first-ever Canada Day Symphony Fireworks show over Georgian Bay, set to music from Canadian artists including Bryan Adams, The Tragically Hip, The Weeknd and The Guess Who.

New to the summer calendar, this four-day festival combines live music, midway rides and beachside activities. The lineup includes The Carpet Frogs, known as the official touring band of The Guess Who, and Jukebox Heroes performing songs by Foreigner. Paddleboard lessons, yoga on the beach and sunset rides are also planned throughout the weekend.
Awaken the Isle | Aug. 15
Nancy Island will transform into a pirate-themed daytime event featuring storytelling, crafts, roaming characters and interactive adventures. Organizers describe the free event as an imaginative experience designed for visitors of all ages, with costumes encouraged and activities spread across the island.
