This spring, Canadian singer-songwriter Jann Arden and comedian Rick Mercer are set to co-headline the Will They or Won’t They Tour, presenting a unique blend of humour, storytelling, and discussion across Canada.
Live Nation Canada is producing the event, promising an unscripted and unrestrained evening with two of Canada’s most prominent entertainment figures. The tour aims to offer laughter and insights into their successful careers, spanning several decades in the entertainment industry.
Jann Arden, celebrated for her multifaceted career as a musician, actor, and author, has achieved significant acclaim with 15 albums and 19 top ten singles. Her contributions to music have been recognized with numerous awards, including 8 JUNO Awards and an induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2020. Arden’s literary work includes six books, with her latest novel “The Bittlemores” set to release in November 2023. She also stars in her hit comedy series “JANN,” showcasing her talent in acting and screenwriting.
Rick Mercer, renowned for his political satire and comedic prowess, has made a significant impact on Canadian television with the Rick Mercer Report and earlier projects like This Hour Has 22 Minutes. His work has earned him a place as an Officer of the Order of Canada and numerous awards, including the Golden Rose Award for ‘best comedy.’ Mercer is also a best-selling author and a recipient of the Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour for his memoir “Talking to Canadians.”
The tour will travel through various Canadian cities, including Toronto and Vancouver, starting on April 27, 2024, in Kitchener, ON, and concluding in Victoria, BC, on May 27.
Tickets for the tour will be available for pre-sale beginning February 27, with general sales starting on March 1.
