Head up north to the Prince Albert National Park and stay at Waskesiu. Visit in the summer to hang around the lake, or on it. There are many beaches around to be lazy in the sand. Or grab a boat and cruise around the lake.
Planning to come during the winter months? Grab some snowshoes or skis to hit the snow-covered hiking trails.There are many campgrounds around Waskesiu for you and the girls to stay at. Stop for some entertainment at the main stage in between the rides.Hit up the float that celebrates the yearly festival. Watch the fireworks at Wascana Park in the evening. While you’re at it, walk around the park to see all the beauty it has to offer.
Grasslands National Park – Val Marie
Escape the city with the girls for a weekend in the rolling hills of Saskatchewan. The Grasslands National Park is a way to experience what Saskatchewan is all about authentically. Go during the summertime for a weekend full of outdoor activities.Stay in either the RV/tent campground to rough it for the nights. Or go for a unique sleeping experience, book a walk-in Tipi camping site. Hit the hiking trails to experience Mother Nature in Saskatchewan and all the wildlife it houses. Kenosee Lake – Moose Mountain Provincial Park
Moose Mountain Provincial Park has lots to offer its visitors – especially at Kenosee Lake. Hang out at the beach, hit up some golf or do some touring around the village. There is the partially restored Cannington Manor Historic Park which dates back to the 1800s. Staff dress the part and show you around the original structures. Are you looking for something a little more intense? The Kenosee Superslides is a must-visit destination around the area.

The Great Sandhills – Southwest
When you hear the word Saskatchewan, most commonly people think of a long rectangle province with nothing but flatlands and golden wheat fields. While that is partially true, Saskatchewan has way more to offer. Would you ever guess there are actual sand dunes in the province? That is why you and the girls need to take off for a weekend to visit them. Stay nearby at the Town of Leader. Although a small town, it has lots to offer its visitors.
