On April 18, independent record stores across Canada will mark the annual Record Store Day, a global celebration of vinyl culture featuring special releases, in-store performances, and unique sales events.
Record Store Day, first established in 2007, strives to foster a sense of community among music enthusiasts and to celebrate the rich tapestry of independent music retailers.
Honeymoon Suite has been named Record Store Day Canada’s 2026 ambassadors, marking a major nod to the band’s long-standing influence. To celebrate, they are releasing The Singles on limited edition translucent red vinyl, available only at independent record stores. The collection features hits like “New Girl Now” and “Feel It Again.” Guitarist Derry Grehan says the format keeps the experience of music alive.
Several exclusive vinyl records are set for release on Record Store Day, including special titles from Honeymoon Suite, David Bowie, The Tragically Hip, Fleetwood Mac and Taylor Swift.
Record Store Day Canada is spotlighting limited editions, rare reissues and collector-only pressings available exclusively at independent stores.
