1. Canada’s Walk of Fame Festival
Canada’s Walk of Fame Festival returns to Toronto for the sixth annual celebration of Canadian arts featuring free performances at Yonge-Dundas Square, the return of the annual Massey Hall concert series, and introducing a new rising star music showcase at the legendary Horseshoe Tavern. Star-studded line up includes Natalie MacMaster with Donnell Leahy, The Tea Party, Trevor Guthrie, Francesco Yates, Jill Hennessy, Kira Isabella, 54-40 and more. The Free Festival, hosted by comedian Johnny Gardhouse, features an exciting mix of programing including live music, book readings, dance lessons and performances, lunchtime workouts with Goodlife Fitness, food trucks, giveaways and nightly films.

2. Happy Birthday Glenn Gould!
This year marks the 60th anniversary of the recording that launched Gould’s international career – Bach’s Goldberg Variations, which went on to become the highest selling solo classical piano recording of all time. The public is invited to join in celebrating the legendary Canadian pianist. Events include live performances from the Glenn Gould School’s award-winning Ruby Piano Trio and the Salvation Army Canadian Staff Band. Details
