For anyone looking for wildlife viewing or birding experiences, this Provincial Park can deliver on both fronts- and they have open sites for June 3rd-5th. The park is in the deep southern part of Alberta, south of Cardston. The sites are along the St. Mary River, a perfect canoeing and paddling river with lower water levels and slower flows.

Moonshine Lake Provincial Park
The main Moonshine Lake is a wonderful boating spot for both powered and paddle boats. Come here for an enjoyably quiet spring getaway in the north with tons to see and do. You can take to 15km worth of trails, play horseshoes, take photos on the pier, and relax on the open beach.

Castle Provincial Park
Hurry to book your spot here, as the Provincial Park still has comfort camping and regular camping available for the coming weekend. This gorgeous area is worth a stay for as long as you can because there is so much to explore. You can take off on 14 different trails in the area, some of which welcome bikes and horses, too. There are also several spots for OHV riders.
