From small adventure parks aimed at younger kids to adrenaline-pumping adventures, these parks around Alberta can fill your summer with unique and unforgettable experiences.
Alternative Adventures Zipline – Jasper/Hinton
See the lands between Hinton and Jasper from way up above with the help of Alternative Adventures Zipline. You can take a solo or tandem flight over forests and foothills and can even pick from stay and play glamping packages. You can even fly out on your belly!

2. World Waterpark and Galaxyland – West Edmonton Mall
The “greatest indoor show on Earth” gets this claim to fame mostly from West Edmonton Mall’s indoor waterpark and theme park: the World Waterpark and Galaxyland. Both offer their own unique adventures, too. At the waterpark you can climb the stairs to take on the Twister, Nessie’s Revenge, or the Skyscreamer. Within Galaxyland are several Hasbro themed rides with thrills for all ages, including the famous Mindbender triple-loop rollercoaster.

3. Snow Valley Aerial Park – Edmonton
The Aerial Park at Snow Valley is back for 2022 in central Edmonton! It features fun and unique ways to embar on a clip n’ climb adventure with 15meters of structure to vertically explore. Climb to the top together and enjoy stunning ravine views and a patio at the very top of the structure. There’s more to do here after your climb as well like the Whitemud Creek Mining Company’s digs, and Snow Valley’s Target Golf.

4. Canyon Coaster – Red Deer
The new Canyon Coaster is a perfect destination for any family in search of adventure in central Alberta and makes for a thrilling stop on any road trip. Red Deer’s Canyon Coaster opens summer 2022 and will operate as an alpine coaster (on a single metal track with gravity as your accelerant).

5. Aqua Splash – Sylvan Lake
The Aqua Splash is coming back to Sylvan Lake this summer! Aqua Splash is a gigantic inflatable waterpark which floats on the water, and which is the only of its kind in Alberta. The inflatable structure offers hours of fun for all ages with several exciting features like a 15 ft. slide, launch bags, and an oversized trampoline that can launch you straight into the water.

6. Winsport – Calgary
There are incredible adventures in the heart of Calgary thanks to Winsport in Canada Olympic Park. Pick from flying via the Monster Zipline, cruising via the Summer Bobsleigh or Karting, or take things a bit slower on the ’88 Express, a scenic chairlift ride.

7. Calaway Park – Calgary
You can either visit Calgary’s Calaway Park for the day or spend a night in their campground for some added convenience. A visit here equals tons of thrills for all ages via rides like the Vortex roller coaster, Timber Falls, The Storm, Chaos, or the Adrenaline Test Zone. Calaway also has several other rides that are thrilling for younger ages as well, food vendors, and carnival games.

8. Mount Norquay Via Ferratta – Banff
The Via Ferratta Experience is unlike any other in Alberta. It involves you being harnessed to a steel cable (helmets includes) while a guide takes you up Mt. Norquay. There are ladders installed along the climb for which you are always safely strapped in, and you will use their incredibly high suspension bridge to cross the valleys. They have six packages/tours from which to choose (with the minimum age of 14 years old).

9. Nitehawk Year-Round Adventure Park – Grande Prairie
Mountain Bike Park, Water Ramp for ski and snowboard practice, the Wilderness RV Park, and the Bear Paw Golf Course. You can stay for the weekend and enjoy family fun, low-key adventure, and work on your winter skills in a unique and refreshing way.

10. Vista Ridge – Fort McMurray
Embark upwards this summer at Vista Ridge, a northern Alberta adventure park in Fort McMurray. They offer an Aerial Park adventure for summer, which has you clipped to ropes as you make your way up the jungle gyms and across different types of bridges and other obstacles. From the top, you get to see why the park is named Vista Ridge.

Barney’s Outdoor Adventure Park – Drumheller
For those with little kids, the outdoor experiences at Barney’s in southern Alberta would make a big adventure. These include a petting zoo, cart racing, pig races, small ziplines, roller racers, and gigantic jumping pillows.
